NYC DOB Complaint & Violation Alerts
ConstruDo can surface automated alerts for matching New York City Department of Buildings (DOB) complaints and violations on eligible projects, once a project's address and Building Identification Number (BIN) are both entered and valid.
How NYC DOB alerts work
- Add the NYC project to ConstruDo.
- Enter a valid project address.
- Enter a valid Building Identification Number (BIN) for the project.
- When the address and BIN both match correctly, ConstruDo can surface matching DOB complaint and violation alerts for that project.
What is required
Both the project address and the BIN must be entered and valid — one alone is not enough. ConstruDo uses both parameters together to match the project correctly with NYC Department of Buildings records.
Where alerts appear
- Inside the project, alongside its tasks, permits, and insurance records.
- In your in-app notification inbox.
When the feature is unavailable
- For projects located outside New York City.
- For NYC projects that do not have both a valid address and a valid BIN on file.
- On the Free plan, which does not include NYC DOB alerts.

ConstruDo works beyond NYC
ConstruDo's core features — tasks, permits, insurance, photos, videos, and messaging — work the same for construction projects anywhere. NYC DOB complaint and violation alerts are a New York City–specific feature and do not apply to projects located outside New York City.
