It keeps tasks, permits, insurance records, project photos and videos, and team communication tied to the specific project they belong to, so information stays organized instead of spread across separate chats, emails, and spreadsheets.

ConstruDo is designed for project managers, construction managers, developers, owners' representatives, general contractors, and subcontractors who run one or more construction projects and need a shared place for tasks, documentation, and communication. It works for an independent professional managing a single project as well as teams running multiple projects at once, since plan limits scale from a single free project up to an unlimited number of projects on the Business plan.

WhatsApp, email, spreadsheets, and notes each hold a piece of the picture, but the pieces live in separate places and get harder to track as a project grows. ConstruDo keeps tasks, messages, photos, permits, insurance, and reminders attached to the specific project and task they belong to, so a team member can open one task and see its full history instead of searching across multiple apps.

No. ConstruDo is intentionally lightweight and focuses on the day-to-day basics that are easy to lose track of — tasks, communication, permits, insurance, photos, and reminders — rather than the scope of a full enterprise project management suite. It is meant to complement existing tools and workflows rather than replace an organization's entire project management stack.

Yes. ConstruDo continues to evolve based on how construction professionals use the product and the feedback they provide. New capabilities and improvements may be added over time as the product develops.

Yes. ConstruDo supports managing multiple construction projects from one account, with the number of projects you can own depending on your plan — 1 owned project on Free, up to 10 on Pro, and an unlimited number on Business. The dashboard shows activity across every project at once, sorted by urgency rather than by project, with Critical, At Risk, Due Today, and Overdue categories so you can see what needs attention first regardless of which project it belongs to.

Yes. Tasks are the core unit of work in ConstruDo — you can create a task and assign it to yourself or a project collaborator. Project owners and Owner Assistants can edit a task's title, priority, and assignees, while every collaborator can update a task's status, due date, notes, and attachments, and send messages on it.

Yes. Anyone invited to a project — contractors, subcontractors, consultants, architects, engineers, or other project team members — can join as a collaborator and work within that project's tasks, messages, and photos. Collaborators do not need their own paid ConstruDo subscription to do this; access is granted by the project owner as part of the owner's plan.

Yes. Each task has its own message thread, so conversations stay tied to the specific piece of work instead of being scattered across separate chats. Opening a task keeps its messages, attachments, current status, and related task information together in one place, which makes it easier to find things like what was decided about a specific part of the job.

Yes. From inside a task you can take a photo, record a video, or choose existing photos and videos from your library, and they are stored against that specific task and project. This gives each project a timestamped visual record of progress without needing to file anything manually, and photos and videos can be filtered and browsed from the project's gallery.

Yes. You can add a permit or insurance policy to a project along with its expiration date, and ConstruDo schedules reminders before it lapses. Expired permits and lapsed insurance also appear as Critical items on the dashboard so they are less likely to be missed.

Yes. Permit and insurance expirations generate scheduled reminders before they lapse, and the dashboard's Due Today and Overdue categories surface tasks that need attention without you having to check every project individually. Users on paid plans can also receive daily Morning Focus and Evening Summary emails that summarize what needs attention across their projects.

No. ConstruDo works for construction projects anywhere. NYC-specific features such as Department of Buildings (DOB) alerts apply only when a project is located in New York City; core features — tasks, permits, insurance, photos, videos, and messaging — work the same regardless of where a project is located.

ConstruDo keeps project communication attached to the task it relates to, rather than spread across separate text messages, email threads, or chat apps. Team members can exchange in-app messages on a task, and a project owner can also loop in people who don't use ConstruDo at all by email, with their reply routed back into that same task's conversation. ConstruDo isn't meant to fully replace email or text messaging — it's meant to keep the parts of a conversation tied to a specific task in one place.

Yes. Every task has its own in-app message thread, and collaborators can send messages there to the project owner and to the other people assigned to that task. Because messages are attached to the task rather than a general project-wide chat, a conversation about a specific piece of work stays with that task's history instead of getting mixed in with unrelated discussion.

A task's message thread is visible to the project owner and to any Owner Assistant on the project, since both can see every task on the project regardless of who it's assigned to. Regular collaborators only see tasks they're assigned to, so they can view and take part in a task's messages when they're one of its assignees — a collaborator who isn't assigned to a particular task doesn't see that task or its message thread.

Yes. The project owner can add an external recipient to a task by typing their email address, and that person receives the message as an email without needing a ConstruDo account of their own to receive it or reply. Each external recipient gets their own individually addressed email rather than being included as a shared To/CC recipient alongside others on the task.

Yes. An external recipient can reply to a ConstruDo task email directly from their own email account without creating a ConstruDo account first, and their reply is automatically routed back into the related task's message thread. They only need an email address to reply — no signup or app download is required.

No. If a project owner adds more than one external recipient to a task, ConstruDo sends each person their own individually addressed email rather than a single group email with shared To/CC recipients. There is currently no Reply-All behavior — each recipient's reply is treated as its own reply and matched back to that same task conversation.

When an external recipient replies, ConstruDo matches the reply back to the task it came from and adds it to that task's message thread, where every collaborator on the task can see it, along with any attachments included in the reply. ConstruDo does not currently support Reply-All, CC, or automatically adding a newly mentioned person to the task or project — each reply is matched to a single task conversation rather than distributed to multiple recipients.

Yes. The project owner can invite someone by email directly from the project's invite screen, which generates an invite code and sends it to that person — they don't need an existing ConstruDo account first. The invitee enters the code as part of their own sign-up, which creates their account and adds them to the project as a collaborator.

No. Collaborators — including regular team members and Owner Assistants — use ConstruDo without needing their own paid subscription. Access to a project is granted by the project owner and is counted against the owner's plan limits, not the collaborator's own account.

An Owner Assistant is a collaborator role that a project owner can grant on a project-by-project basis, giving that person elevated access to help manage the project. It is still a form of collaborator access — an Owner Assistant does not become the project's owner — but it unlocks permissions beyond what a regular collaborator has.

An Owner Assistant can create tasks and edit a task's title, priority, and assignees — permissions a regular collaborator does not have. Like any collaborator, an Owner Assistant can also update task status and due dates, add notes and attachments, upload photos and videos, and send task messages.

Only the true project owner can grant or remove Owner Assistant status on a project; an Owner Assistant cannot assign that role to someone else. Owner Assistant access is provided through the project owner's plan, so a person does not need a paid subscription of their own to act as an Owner Assistant on that owner's project, and the project owner keeps full ownership and control of the project at all times.

The number of Owner Assistants you can have depends on your plan: the Free plan does not include Owner Assistant seats, Pro includes up to 3, and Business includes an unlimited number. The same person acting as your Owner Assistant on more than one of your projects still counts as a single seat.

The ConstruDo Free plan costs $0 and includes 1 owned project, up to 3 collaborators, 1 GB of storage, and core task management. It does not include Owner Assistant seats, Morning Focus or Evening Summary emails, or NYC DOB alerts. You can start on the Free plan without a credit card.

Pro costs $29.90 per month or $299.00 per year and includes up to 10 owned projects, up to 25 collaborators, up to 3 Owner Assistant seats, and 30 GB of storage. It also unlocks Morning Focus and Evening Summary emails and NYC DOB complaint and violation alerts.

Business costs $79.90 per month or $799.00 per year and includes unlimited owned projects, unlimited collaborators, unlimited Owner Assistant seats, and 100 GB of storage. Like Pro, it includes Morning Focus and Evening Summary emails and NYC DOB complaint and violation alerts.

The Free plan includes 1 owned project, Pro includes up to 10 owned projects, and Business includes an unlimited number of owned projects. Collaborators can also work on projects owned by someone else without that counting against their own project limit.

Collaborator limits are 3 on Free, 25 on Pro, and unlimited on Business. Storage limits are 1 GB on Free, 30 GB on Pro, and 100 GB on Business.

ConstruDo has a Free plan at $0, a Pro plan at $29.90 per month ($299.00 billed yearly), and a Business plan at $79.90 per month ($799.00 billed yearly). Collaborators, including Owner Assistants, can use ConstruDo on a project without paying for a subscription themselves — pricing applies to the project owner's own plan. Morning Focus is a scheduled daily email, available on the Pro and Business plans, that summarizes what needs attention across your projects at the start of the day. It is designed to give you a quick overview before heading to the job site rather than requiring you to check every project individually.

Evening Summary is a scheduled daily email, available on the Pro and Business plans, that recaps project activity at the end of the day. Like Morning Focus, it is meant to keep you aware of what happened and what's outstanding without manually reviewing each project.

Yes, on the Pro and Business plans. For a New York City project to receive ConstruDo DOB alerts, both the project address and the building identification number (BIN) must be entered and valid so the project can be matched correctly with NYC Department of Buildings records. When both are available and valid, ConstruDo can surface automated alerts for matching DOB complaints and violations in the project and in the in-app notification inbox. This feature is not available for projects outside New York City or for NYC projects that do not have both valid matching parameters.

Yes. ConstruDo sends push notifications for events such as task messages and permit or insurance reminders, in addition to in-app and email notifications. Push notifications can be turned on or off from Settings, alongside separate controls for in-app and email notifications.

The bell icon opens an in-app notification inbox covering task messages, task updates, permit and insurance reminders, project alerts, Morning Focus, and Evening Summary. Each notification links directly to the related task, project, or item.

Yes. ConstruDo is available as a native iOS app for iPhone, with support for using your device's camera to capture project and task photos and videos directly from the job site.

Yes. ConstruDo is available as a native Android app, with the same task, project, and camera features available on iOS.

Yes. ConstruDo also runs in a web browser, so you can access your projects, tasks, and photos from a computer without installing the mobile app — the same account works across iOS, Android, and web.

ConstruDo data is stored using Firebase, with authentication required to access your account and encryption applied to data in transit. ConstruDo also uses third-party service providers to operate parts of the service, including subscription processing and email delivery, and the information processed by those providers depends on the service being used — see the Privacy Policy for details about how information is collected, used, and processed.

You can request account deletion from within the app or through ConstruDo's Delete Account page. See that page for the current process.
